Welcome to the Virginia Association of Hazardous Materials Response Specialists (VAHMRS). We are the coordinated voice for Hazmat Response Team Members throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Association members exchange information on a state-wide basis, interface with national organizations, and develop a common inventory list of resources and promote resource sharing.
It is the goal of the Association to promote standardization of techniques, equipment training, and teams, and to unite, for mutual benefit, those persons engaged in hazardous materials response and support hazardous materials response teams. We do this through the promotion of networking, communication and education.
We encourage you to benefit from membership in VAHMRS by becoming active in attending association meetings and using our website for informational updates and communication. VAHMRS members attending our annual conference benefit from a reduced conference registration rate.
